About

Hi! I’m Jeffrey. I am a PhD student in materials science and engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working with Pinshane Huang on using electron ptychography to study 2D materials – I use simulations and an optimization software to make sense of electron diffraction patterns.

I enjoy solving math puzzles and programming.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from Cornell University in 2019.
